Marcus Smart scored a game-high 23 points to lead the No. 22 Oklahoma State Cowboys to a 72-59 victory over the Texas Longhorns on Saturday in Austin, Texas.
Smart scored half of the Cowboys' first 42 points as Oklahoma State began to run away from the Longhorns early in the second half. Later in the game, as the rest of the Cowboys started to get in on the scoring, Smart filled up the box score in other categories, racking up seven rebounds, five steals, three assists and a couple of blocks.

Markel Brown came to the aid of Smart in the second half, finishing with 17 points and six rebounds.

Demarcus Holland scored a career-high 13 points off the bench for Texas (10-13, 2-8 Big 12).

Oklahoma State (17-5, 7-3 Big 12) has won two straight road games after losing their previous eight away from home, dating back to last season. The Cowboys have won five consecutive games overall, and will go for number six on Wednesday at Texas Tech.
