• Longhorns Lately ... In last week's contests against Kansas State and Iowa State, senior guard Ashleigh Fontenette led the Longhorns in scoring with 16.0 points per game while freshman forward Nneka Enemkpali averaged a team-high 6.5 rebounds in the same pair of games.
• Trio Averaging Double-Figure Scoring ... Three Horns continue to average double-figure scoring in Big 12 Conference contests. Sophomore guard Chassidy Fussell leads the team with 15.9 ppg, while seniors Yvonne Anderson and Ashleigh Fontenette are averaging 11.4 and 11.2, respectively.
• Guards Displaying Endurance ... Texas' starting guards are all clocking 32-plus minutes in league games. Fussell is averaging 34.8 mpg, Anderson 33.3 mpg and Fontenette 32.1 mpg.
Series vs. Kansas
Wednesday's contest marks the 23rd meeting between Texas and Kansas. Texas holds a 14-8 advantage in the all-time series, which began on Jan. 9, 1982, with a 66-47 UT win. The Longhorns have won 10 of their previous 13 meetings with the Jayhawks, including four of the last five under head coach Gail Goestenkors. Texas leads the series 5-4 when the teams meet in Lawrence.

Flashback: vs. Kansas (Jan. 4, 2012)
Angel Goodrich scored 22 points and Kansas beat No. 23 Texas 72-67 in the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams. Monica Engelman added 19 points and Carolyn Davis scored 14 of her 16 after halftime for the Jayhawks, who hadn't opened their conference schedule with a win since beating the Longhorns 70-61 in 2006. Ashleigh Fontenette scored 19 points as Texas lost for the first time since falling to No. 6 Tennessee on Dec. 4. Kansas, which came in with the nation's best shooting percentage, extended its winning streak to six games despite shooting a season-worst 39 percent from the field (26-of-66). Kansas led 30-20 at the break, but Texas used a late 22-6 run to pull to 70-67 with 14 seconds to play. Fontenette had a 3-point attempt blocked on the next possession and Goodrich sank two free throws to seal it.
Last Time Out: at Iowa State (Feb. 4, 2012)
It was a tale of two halves as the Texas Women's Basketball team fell to Iowa State, 71-56, on Saturday afternoon at the Hilton Coliseum. The Longhorns took a four-point lead into halftime but were outscored 44-29 in the second stanza. UT suffered its third loss in as many games and has dropped four of its last five. Yvonne Anderson led Texas with 19 points, including the Longhorns' first 12 of the game. Ashleigh Fontenette also recorded double figures for UT, finishing with 15. The Cyclones' Chelsea Poppens scored 27 points to lead all scorers, 20 of which came in the second half. Lauren Mansfield added 11 assists.
Fussell En Fuego
Sophomore guard Chassidy Fussell hit a career-best five three-point field goals against Kansas State (Feb. 1). She had previously connected on four treys in nine games including twice this season against Virginia and Iowa State.
Anderson's Total Effort
Despite a 75-71 loss at Texas Tech (Jan. 28), senior guard Yvonne Anderson put forth a season-high 40 minutes of offense and defense in Lubbock. She scored 18 points while connecting on a season-high eight FGs and dished out seven assists. On the defensive end, Anderson pulled down five rebounds and collected two steals.
Texas is averaging 16.2 turnovers per game in league games compared to 18.4 in non-conference action. The Longhorns committed a season-low 10 turnovers against Missouri (Jan. 25).
