The Longhorns have lost four straight and in desperate need of a win on Saturday, as they look to turn the season around. They have a great chance to for a victory, as they are 9-4 at home for the season. The Longhorns haven't lost in Austin to the Cowgirls since 2009.
If Oklahoma State wins, they would sweep the season series for the first time since 2007, and give the Cowgirls their first-ever three game winning streak against Texas.
Three Longhorns are averaging double-digits in scoring (Chassidy Fussell, Ashleigh Fontenette, and Yvonna Anderson) Fussell is averaging 16.6 points per game, putting her fourth in the Big 12.
In order to improve on their conference record, they will have to improve on the defensive end, as they have allowed 70.5 points per game in conference play, compared to their 63.6 scoring average.
Oklahoma State is also looking to shake out of a slump, having lost 3 of their last 4. A win against Texas would put them at .500 in Big 12 Conference play, a cushion they will need as their two games following the match-up with the Longhorns are against No. 1 ranked Baylor and No. 14 Texas A&M.
The Cowgirls are extremely green. 81 of their 100 starts this year have been made by freshmen and sophomores. One particular freshman who has been shining is Jordan Schultz, who has back-to-back games in double-digits.
Look for Tiffany Bias to set the pace for Oklahoma State, as she has led the team in assist 19 of 20 games this season.
