“The history says they are finished and my eyes tell me they’re finished too.”

MLB insider Jon Morosi told Outkick the Coverage to stick a fork in the freefalling last place Blue Jays who had at one point been the most intimidating team in baseball the last couple seasons.

Hitting just .213 as a team and ranking last in the MLB in OPS, Morosi said their boisterous fan base who now supports the league’s oldest team better take a step back in their optimism.

“As good as things looked for the Jays the last two years, they might have missed their window,” Morosi said while talking about how the Jays didn’t take advantage of down years from division stalwarts New York and Boston. “It’s going to be a very uncomfortable summer in Toronto.”

No team in baseball history has ever made the playoffs after starting the season 3-12, and Morosi doesn’t see a happy ending for this group from up north.

“Their fans are going to have to have a very sobering conversation with themselves.”
