Carmelo Anthony will almost certainly play this upcoming NBA season as a Houston Rocket. However, in between his time with OKC and his next team he was an Atlanta Hawk for a hot minute. Melo was traded to Atlanta after last season, only to be immediately bought out. The Hawks revealed yesterday via Twitter that they would be sending Melo, an undefeated former Hawk his own jersey. A jersey that never saw the hardwood.
LeBron James who recently made the move from the Cavs to Lakers approved of the gesture with what can only be considered an excessive amount of laughing emojis. (see below)
Do you find this gesture to be a joke seeing that Melo never touched the floor in Atlanta and certainly didn't come close to wearing the Jersey? Or is it a thoughtful gift as Melo departs yet another team on his chase for a ring? You decide.
