Shane Buechele will continue his academic and football career at SMU after he graduates from the University of Texas in May. Buechele who was once the starting QB for the longhorns became the backup in 2017 when Sam Ehlinger won the starting job. In early 2019 he entered the transfer portal and as he announced via Twitter his time at Texas is now up.
