Colin Kaepernick Wanted A Lot Of Money To Play In The AAF

The Alliance of American Football reached out to Colin Kaepernick hoping to sing him as a quarterback. When the leagues season started last week many football fans were wondering why Kaepernick wasn't on a roster. Now it seems that we have the reason as to why he isn't on the field.

Kaepernick and his team reportedly wanted a $20 million+ contract to play in the league. Currently, the league is offering its players a 3-year contract worth $225k. A player may pursue the NFL in May when the season ends but should they not make it they must return to the AAF. $20 million is quite the ask when everyone else in the league is only making a quarter million over a three year span.

The $20 million ask is surely out of line for a QB who hasn't played in a couple of seasons and for a league that is just getting underway. Should the league look to make an exception to their current contracts and pay Kaepernick a little more in order to get him on the field?
