Texas A&M broadcaster Andrew Monaco previews the Lone Star Showdown

It only took 13 years but the Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies will return to the football field to face one another on Saturday at Kyler. The winner plays for the SEC Championship and a College Football Playoff berth. Could the stakes be any higher?

Craig Way will be on the call for the Longhorn Radio Network so it's only fitting that the voice of the Texas A&M Aggies, Andrew Monaco, would join the show to preview the restoration of the rivalry.

Monaco, who has never called a football game between the two longtime rivals, discussed the Aggies season under new head coach Mike Elko. Monaco details the carousel at the quarterback position before Marcel Reed took control of it over Conner Weigman.

Craig and Andrew discuss the injuries at the running back position but also the depth and strength of the Aggies' defense under Elko. Listen to the interview below:

You can listen to the game on the Longhorn Radio Network, 98.1 KVET, AM 1300 THE ZONE, and 103.1 FM, or stream it free on the iHeart radio app!
