Manu Ginobili might be feeling the pressure, or the tough workouts have taken a toll on his body. At least according to his latest vlog. Ginobili comments on the intense workouts, the news that Kawhi will miss out on the season opener and more in his vlog titled “48 Hours from Debut. Monday, October 16th.”
Here’s the English translation of Manu’s video:
Today is one of those days that I'm really tired. It'd been awhile since I have been this tired. I think the intense training recently resulted in a bad night. I woke up at 3am. I couldn't go back to bed until around 5am. So when the alarm went off at 7am, I wanted to die. So, I'm pretty sleepy. I'm going to try and take a nap, at least an hour. If I don't Ill probably go to bed before my kids do. That would be an ordeal in itself. In other news, there are two days left until the regular season starts. So Pop wanted to train hard today, so we did. Tomorrow is a little less intense. We'll prep for the game against the Timberwolves. Then the season takes off. Unfortunately, we will have to start the season without Kawhi. Also, without Tony. But Tony we knew about. He has about a month left, but he's much better. And Kawhi we'll just have to see when he is ready. But that's how we've played the entire pre-season. So in a way we’re used to playing that way. We won’t be at our full force, talent wise. But we’ll play the best we can. So, despite the tiredness, and possible bags I have under my eyes, I am happy and enthusiastic to start the season. The preseason was good. We played the 5 games well. Some better than others, as often is the case. So in 48 hours, we will tip off the season. Big hug to everyone. I'll probably get another video to you guys after that game.
The Spurs will tip off their regular season Wednesday, October 18th against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tip off is set for 8:30p.m..
