The Longhorn defense helped the team's cause as they dumped Missouri, 33-16, in the Texas Bowl in Houston.  Anthony Wheeler returned a fumble  38 yards for a score to give Texas a 21-7 lead heading into halftime.   The defense also recorded a safety on a botched snap and forced four  turnovers.  Sam Ehlinger and Shane Buechele each threw  touchdowns as the Longhorns finish the season 7-and-6.  Mizzou trailed  by 14 after the first quarter and spent the whole game playing  catch-up.  Drew Lock hit Johnathon Johnson for a 79-yard score as the  Tigers fell to 7-and-6.
