Austin package bomber dead in confrontation with police, sources say

Austin police sources tell News Radio 1200 WOAI that the serial bomber who has terrified Austin for the past three weeks is dead, following a confrontation with police on I-35 in Round Rock,.

We're told officials tracked the suspect using 'cellular technology' to I-35, there was a high speed chase, and one officer says the suspect has been 'neutralized.'

There are indications that he blew himself up using one of his bombs.

This happened not far from where a package bomb was reported in Pflugerville early this morning.
