Patriots Hold Off Texans

Tom Brady

Tom Brady threw three first-half  touchdowns as the Patriots held off the Texans 27-20 in Foxboro. Brady threw for 277 yards and hooked up with Rob Gronkowski, Phillip Dorsett  and James White for scores.  The Pats tacked on two second-half field  goals to pull away.  Gronkowski finished with seven catches for 123  yards.  Deshaun Watson threw for a score and Alfred Blue rushed for  another in the second half for Houston, which couldn't close the gap.  Tyrann Mathieu recorded an interception and recovered a fumble in his Houston debut.  The Texans are 1-and-9 all-time versus the Patriots.
