The Texas Longhorns continue to prepare for the Sugar Bowl. Longhorns Offensive Coordinator Tim Beck spoke with reporters in New Orleans on Saturday and said the team is "very excited to be here. Very honored and privileged to be in a great bowl, great tradition, against a great opponent."

Texas is 9-4 overall and ranked No. 15 in the CFP. The Longhorns lost  39-27 to Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship Game. Georgia  is 11-2 overall and ranked No. 5 in the CFP Top 25. The Bulldogs lost to  No. 1 Alabama, 35-28, in the SEC Championship Game. Both programs have four wins over ranked opponents this season, tied for second-most in the  country.
