Ryan Goins lined a two-run single for the White Sox, who scored three runs in the second inning. Chris Devenski took the loss as an emergency starter after Gerrit Cole suffered a hamstring injury warming up. George Springer drove in the Houston run. The Astros lost for only the second time in their last 11 games.
