Amber Guyger Appeal Set For Late April

The former North Texas cop who killed a downstairs neighbor is scheduled to court again late next month. Amber Guyger's attorneys are hoping to get her murder conviction and sentence tossed in exchange for a lesser crime. The former Dallas officer was given ten years in prison in 2019 for shooting Botham Jean to death inside his apartment. Guyger testified she mistook Jean's apartment for her own and believed he was an intruder. The appeal hearing is set for April 27th.
