Doing Good: Raising Cane’s & YMCA of Austin Supporting Local Businesses

Raising Cane's and YMCA of Austin are collaborating for a weekly livestream, "THE LOCAL DISH", which will feature three essential businesses each week as well as highlight them through content across their platforms. You can support the steam with hashtags #SupportLocal #ForABetterUs and it will be available on YMCA of Austin’s Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channels @austinymca. Additionally, every Sunday from noon to 8 p.m., all nine Austin-area Raising Cane’s restaurants will host a fundraiser for YMCA of Austin. Raising Cane’s will donate 15% of your purchase to YMCA of Austin if you mention the fundraiser!

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be able to partner with YMCA of Austin for these unique local initiatives,” said Raising Cane’s Area Leader of Restaurants Michael O’Grady. “We wanted to do what we could to support local businesses, including YMCA of Austin, during these unprecedented times. YMCA of Austin has created an incredible virtual community full of free exercise classes to help everyone stay active during the current crisis. We are honored to have the opportunity to raise funds for their community efforts.”

“As a volunteer-led nonprofit, the YMCA of Austin works every day to strengthen our community at the grassroots,” said James Finck, YMCA of Austin President & CEO. “That’s why we’re excited to join with Raising Cane’s to shine a spotlight on local Austin-area businesses in an effort to give them vital support during this tough time.”
