When Political Correctness Turns Moronic

“What is going on in your life that you decide when you’re in college, ‘You know what I’m going to do while I’m here? I’m going to fight and make sure our knight mascot is removed!’. Go chase girls, go drink and have fun; get a freaking life.”

Clay Travis blasted Holy Cross for their recent decision to yank its Knight mascot from all its teams’ uniforms and school-licensed apparel, as the school issued a statement Monday with the bizarre stipulations:

“…the visual depiction of a knight, in conjunction with the moniker Crusader, inevitably ties us directly to the reality of the religious wars and the violence of the Crusades. Over the coming months, the college will gradually phase out the use of all knight-related imagery.”

Travis couldn’t help but laugh after reading the school’s press release.

“Is there anybody out there who sees a guy dressed as a knight walking around on the sidelines and thinks, ‘My God, this is so offensive, I can’t believe Holy Cross would do this!’”

Travis thinks we’ve reached peak insanity in our society, with bumbling factions of people driven by fake outage, aimlessly running around their communities trying desperately to label anything as ‘offensive’.

“I often think the country has gone insane, but when I see stories like this it truly makes me think the country has gone insane,” Travis said. “It’s a freaking mascot. Am I insane for believing that everybody who is obsessed with changing the Knight mascot is a total and complete loser?

Guess what, bad things happened in history, deal with it. Read a history book, step up your vocab. Don’t go to college and act like you’re going to go to war with the mascot.”
