Spurs winning streak continues with victory over Trail Blazers

The Spurs extended the league’s longest active winning streak to 8 games (10 consecutive home wins) as they defeated the Trail Blazers in San Antonio by a final score of 108-103. DeMar DeRozan led the Spurs with 21 points (6-14 FG), along with 8 rebounds and 3 assists, while Rudy Gay totaled 13 points (5-10 FG) and 7 rebounds in the victory. Damian Lillard led all scorers with 34 points (13-29 FG), to go with 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the Trail Blazers, while Jusuf Nurkic tallied 24 points (10-21 FG), 16 rebounds and 4 assists in the losing effort. With the win, the Spurs improve to 41-29, while the Trail Blazers fall to 42-27 on the season. The Spurs currently sit as the 6-seed in the Western Conference, 7 GB the first-place Warriors, while the Trail Blazers remain the 4-seed, 5.5 GB the Warriors.
