Proposal To Restart MLB Around July 4 Approved By Owners

Major League Baseball owners have voted to restart baseball around July 4th. They approved a proposal today that'll now go to the players union. No fans would be allowed in ballparks once the league begins its shortened season. Around 82 regular season games would be played following a period of spring training next month. The games would feature mostly divisional matchups with some interleague play included as well. Postseason play would be expanded from 10 clubs to 14 by doubling wild cards in each league to four.
