Angels, Astros Split Doubleheader

The Angels and Astros split a doubleheader in Houston on Tuesday as Hurricane Laura approaches the region. The Astros won the first game 6-3 thanks to solid pitching from rookie starter Christian Javier, who improved to 3-and-1. Houston gave him a four-run lead after one inning. The Angels took the second game with a 12-5 win. Brian Goodwin drove in three runs in that matchup and four on the day for the Halos. Felix Pena earned the win in the nightcap. Wednesday's game has been postponed until September 5th due to the hurricane.
