The NFL is adding a 17th game to the season and the Cowboys will meet the Patriots and the Texans will host the Panthers. NFL owners met virtually on Tuesday and officially approved the schedule expansion, marking the first time in 43 years that the regular season has been increased. The bonus game will be added to the beginning of the schedule starting next season and with AFC teams playing host. The added matchup to the regular season means there will now be three preseason games and the Super Bowl will be moved back a week to February 13. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell added to the announcement that he expects stadiums across the league to be full during the upcoming season.
