The Astros cruised to a win over the Chicago Cubs for the second straight day. Houston defeated Chicago 7-3 at Minute Maid Park. Houston starter Cristian Javier earned the win and improved to 4-and-1 after allowing one earned run and striking out five through six frames. Yordan Alvarez led the way at the plate for Houston, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. The Astros have won three straight to improve to 23-and-19. They will send right-hander J.P. France to the hill for the series finale against Chicago tonight.
