Texas Longhorns head football coach Steve Sarkisian spoke at the Texas High School Coaches Association Convention in San Antonio over the weekend and appeared on a panel discussion with Craig Way.
Sarkisian, in his fourth year as the Texas head coach, was asked about a variety of topics on Saturday but mostly pertaining to recruiting and the evolution of it in 2024. The transfer portal and NIL have severely impacted how coaches recruit but also contact periods and signing days have been adjusted as well.
Sark addressed those questions along with the impact of helmet communication to the sideline, House vs. NCAA, the expectations of the program after being predicted to finish second in the SEC Preseason Poll, and how the Longhorns can avoid a drop-off in 2024 after a successful campaign last year.
