When the Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies finally meet on the football field again this fall in College Station, it will be 13 years since the last meeting in the Lone Star Showdown.
University of Texas Athletic Director Chris Del Conte and Texas A&M Athletic Director Trev Alberts spoke at a special event commemorating the revival of the rivalry today, announcing Cotton as the title sponsor.
CDC spoke with Craig Way and other media members after the event about restoring the rivalry and what it means for the state of Texas.
"We gotta play this game," Del Conte told Craig Way. Our rivalry is important to us. It's important to the state."
