Jason Smith: "Tyrese Haliburton’s Clutch Playoff Run Is One for the Ages!"

Jason Smith and Mike Harmon react to the thrilling finish of Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Pacers and Thunder, after Tyrese Haliburton hits yet another clutch shot in the final seconds to steal the game on the road. Jason argues that Haliburton's recent playoff performance isn't just impressive—it could go down as one of the top three, or possibly the greatest playoff run in NBA history. Mike adds that Haliburton continues to deliver in high-pressure moments, showing incredible composure and "ice in his veins" as the Pacers keep finding ways to win.

Jason Smith:

"He is on an all-time NBA playoff run this postseason—to the point where I want to go back and look at some of Michael Jordan's runs in the early to mid-'90s. I have to go back and look and see if even Jordan had runs like this with game-winning shots. Obviously, he didn't, because Haliburton already has five. But I have to go back to that to find somebody that maybe has had the kind of playoff that Haliburton has been having—at the level he's been at this entire playoff. All these big shots at the end of games, all these big games he's having—he is on an all-time playoff run, where we might look at the end of these playoffs and go: best playoff performance in history? Is it in the top 3? Is it the best? That’s where we are at!"

Mike Harmon:

"For Haliburton, the prisoner of the moment right now—it's the chaos that comes, one, with the Knicks and what that comeback was and that shot, and callbacks from 30 years ago. And now you do this to the Thunder... Did I expect this? No. But they hung around and they kept it close. And this is a team that's going to jump up and bite you. And Haliburton has ICE IN HIS VEINS!"
