SPURS POSTGAME QUOTES

Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich

(Opening Statement…)

“Good game. I am proud of them. They did a great job. A lot of guys got minutes. Combinations were a little strange probably, but their competitiveness and execution here and there were great. Really proud of them. They deserve to enjoy their evening.”

(On foul disparity…)

“Yeah, we made a few undisciplined fouls and then [Dallas Mavericks] made threes in overtime, so that’s that. I am proud of them. They did a great job.”

 Spurs Guard Malaki Branham

(On what the team gains from playing in close OT game…)

“Just the experience. Being in those moments, learning from them. That’s really it.”

(On the mentality it takes to constantly play with different lineups…)

“Just next man up, ready to play. We’ve had a lot of injuries, unfortunately. But we got some great guys ready to step up.”

 Spurs Forward Keldon Johnson

(On the alley-oop that brought the game to overtime…)

“Great timing. Just an amazing pass by Malaki [Branham]. [He] Couldn’t have passed it any better. We just went through it full speed. I feel like we got them on their toes, and it’s slipped out, and it’s right there. I got a great pass, and the rest is history.”
