Sonny Dykes will be entering year 2 at SMU and he will have a new QB for the 2019 season. Shane Buechele announced last week that he would be heading up to SMU to continue his education and football career. Because Buechele is not yet officially enrolled at SMU, coach Dykes could not talk directly about #7.
